The "polarity button" is enabled for all leakage tests unless the standard is set to NFPA, in which case the
button is disabled and all measurements are performed with receptacle polarity set to normal.
When the selected leakage test is the AAMI (lead) isolation test, the IEC60601 MAP test, or the IEC62353
applied part leakage test, the ground and neutral buttons on the UI are hidden and a button which controls
the MAP test voltage is then shown (see
Figure 14 ).
On initial selection of the test, the "MAP button" defaults to OFF and the leakage readout is blanked, as
shown.
When the "MAP button" is pressed, the analyzer activates the test voltage ( Figure 15 ).
Per Figure 15 , the text field in the middle of the screen is used to display a timer which counts down from
20 seconds. If the timer reaches zero, or if the "MAP Button" is pressed before the timer reaches zero, the
MAP voltage is switched OFF and the UI is restored to the state shown in
Figure 14 .
