4.8.6. Calibrate SUL
From “
Dilutor
” pull down menu select “
Calibrate SUL
”.
The following display will appear:
SUL parameter settings regulate how long the dilutor unit valve remains open and consequently how much liquid
volume (1 ml) is dispensed by the peristaltic pumps.
1) Insert an empty test-tube in position 1 of sample rack.
2) Check that Waste basin is not full and that WASH tank is not empty.
3) Check “
Prime
” box to activate Prime function
4) Set up the duration of hydraulic circuit Prime (recommended 20 seconds) in “
Prime duration
” box
5) Input 100 as first value for SUL set-up in “SUL” box;
6) Select “
Test
”. Liquid volume as selected should be dispensed in test-tube;
7) Check with a teat pipette that 1ml of liquid has been dispensed through valve opening SUL value

If dispensed liquid volume is more than 1ml:
reduce SUL value, disactivate Prime and repeat Test at point 6;

If dispensed liquid volume is less than 1ml:
increase SUL value, disactivate Prime and repeat Test at point 6;
8) Select “
Store
” to save SUL value obtained.
