8. Maintenance

Recommendations

The user must not attempt to access the detector’s internal parts, except areas described in this manual. If the user does access
these parts, the product guarantee will be considered null and void and DAITEM shall not be held responsible for any problems.
Touching the detector’s internal parts and/or electronic components can damage the product. Furthermore, the detector is designed
in such a way that these parts and components do not need to be accessed for operation or maintenance purposes.

8.1 Indication of anomalies and faults

The control panel and the beam barrier can signal faults

(to carry out a test refer to the chapter

“6. Functional installation test

).

8.1.1 Depending upon the model of the control panel

For each column of the infra red barrier the control panel can signal:
• column power fault,
• column tamper alarm (cover opening or cutting or interconnect wiring),
• module radio fault.

In the example below detector X is a radio module (in an infra red receiver or transmitter) installed in one of the two columns of a
barrier.

Power fault:

following a system

command (ON/OFF) the control panel
announces vocally:

Tamper fault:

following a system

command (ON/OFF), the control panel
announces vocally:

Radio fault:

following a system

command (ON/OFF), the control panel
announces vocally:

For each infra-red barrier, the control panel announces the masking or the faulty alignment by the message

“Beep, detector X open”

or

“Bip, ON detector X open”

(here, X represents No. of allotted detector, by the control panel, of the radio module infra red receiver of

the barrier, at the time of the programming/learning-in) (cf. chapter

“3.5 Arming with a beam blocked (in alarm) or an anomaly”

).

“Beep, power fault detector X”

“Beep, power fault detector X”

“Beep, radio fault detector X”
