5.2 Selection of infra red beam transmit & receive channels

The selection of the infra red transmission/reception channel
must be made to avoid infra red interference, this can occur,
when several beam units are used for extended distance or
stacking applications in close proximity to each other.
1. Use the micro-switch of the module to select one channel
among the 4 available (see example below and following
page).
2. Check that the receiver and the transmitter which face each
other are selected to the same channel, and that adjacent units
are selected to different channels.
ATTENTION: do not select adjacent channels for adjacent beams,
always to leave two channels gap when stacking two beams on
top of each other (see following example). The higher beam is on
channel 1 whereas the lower beam is on channel 3. One could
also have used channels 2 and 4.
As receiver B could receive infra red from transmitter A , as well as from transmitter B, select non adjacent channels as
indicated in the figure below.
