4.5.1 Positioning of the modules
The slave IR
modules
(without radio transmitters)
are installed
above
the master modules (with radio transmitters).
4.5.2 Module interconnections:
A.
End-of-Line terminal block:
Only in the case of chaining/stacking, it is required to unplug
the “End-of-Line” terminal block from its position in the top
right hand corner of the master IR transmitter or receiver
module and fit it to the terminal socket in the top right hand
corner of the uppermost slave/extension module.

Interconnection cable:
The connection of interconnecting cable in the master IR
module is made to the upper terminal block (with the anti-
tamper pin oriented toward the top).
• If a slave module is interposed between 2 modules, then the
connection with the lower module is made from the bottom
connector block of the upper module to the top connector
block of the lower module
• The slave module (without radio transmitter) is the highest in
the column:
- it’s interconnection is made from it’s lower terminal block
- the end-of-line terminator (relocated from the Master
module) is plugged into it’s upper most terminal block.
CAUTION
• To preserve the sealing of the chaining/slave modules, use:
- the supplied cable glands,
- a round connecting cable (diameter approximately 5 mm).
• To preserve the radio range, never leave a surplus of cable
in the back case of the radio module.
NOTE: in order to respect the radio constraints specific to the
system, the modules with the built-in radio transmitters MUST be
placed at the base of the columns.
