MLD Snooping Settings
Users can configure the settings for MLD snooping.
To view the following window, click
L2 Features > L2 Multicast Control > MLD Snooping > MLD Snooping
Settings
, as show below:

The fields that can be configured are described below:
Parameter
Description
MLD Snooping State
Click to enable or disable the MLD snooping state.
Max Learning Entry Value
(1-1024)
Enter the maximum learning entry value.
Click the
Apply
button to accept the changes made for each individual section.
Click the
Edit
button to configure the MLD Snooping Parameters Settings for a specific entry.
Click the
Modify Router Port
link to configure the MLD Snooping Router Port Settings for a specific entry.
After clicking the
Edit
button, the following page will appear:

The fields that can be configured are described below:
Parameter
Description
Query Interval (1-65535)
Specify the amount of time in seconds between general query transmissions. The
default setting is 125 seconds.
Max Response Time (1-
25)
The maximum time in seconds to wait for reports from listeners. The default setting
is 10 seconds.
Robustness Value (1-7)
Provides fine-tuning to allow for expected packet loss on a subnet. The value of the
robustness variable is used in calculating the following MLD message intervals:
Group listener interval
- Amount of time that must pass before a multicast router
decides there are no more listeners of a group on a network.
