Ping:
Use to
1. Ensure if the host computer is reachable or not Check the time lag for the round trip for the
message
2. Get the IP Address of a domain name
3. Check for packet loss
To use Ping
,
enter the IP Address or Host name
in the Ping Section and click “Ping”.

Name Lookup:
Use to query the Domain Name Service for information about domain names and IP
Addresses.
To use Name Lookup, enter the IP Address or Host name in the Name Lookup Section and
click “Name Lookup”.
