Turn the dial to select the degree of
savoriness
(heating
temperature) and press the [COOK/OK] button.
•
Each time you turn the dial,
-2℃ ↔ 0℃ ↔ 2℃ ↔ 4℃ ↔ -2℃
are selected in
sequence.
•
If you want to use the default setting, select 0℃. If you want to increase the
heating temperature, select 2℃ or 4℃. If you want to decrease the heating
temperature, select -2℃.
•
If you want savory flavor, select 2℃ or 4℃ to increase the heating temperature.
•
If you do not want savoriness, select -2℃ to decrease the heating temperature.
If you increase the heating temperature, the browning effect may become more
prominent than in regular cooking.
Once you set the fine taste for a menu item, the same setting is applied when you cook the same item later.
Notes

Adjusting the degree of
softness
(soaking time) may change the expected cooking time.
•
The cooking time and the cooking result may also be affected by the condition of the rice as well as the
water temperature and the amount of water.
Melanoising phenomenon
The Cuchen electric pressure cooker may produce slightly burnt rice with a pale brown color on the bottom. This
phenomenon is called "melanoising," which gives rice savory fragrance and flavor. Note that, for preset cooking when
the rice has been sitting on the bottom for a while, fine starch that settles on the bottom of the inner pot may intensify
melanoising than for normal cooking.
