Ensure that the technical room, where the equipment will be located, has
opening of sufficient size to allow the free passage out of it without having
to operate demolitions of any kind. Ensure that the room of installation
is equipped with a drain (discharge) system appropriate to the cylinder
volume and any other equipment. The warranty does not cover any costs
arising from defaults at this point.
The installation and operation of the equipment covered by these instruc
-
tions must always respect the national and local rules and regulations
of the installation site, in particular in relation to prescribed safety and
control accessories.
The formation of ice inside the thermal accumulator can cause serious
damages to the system and destroy the equipment. Therefore where
there is a danger of below-zero temperatures, the thermal accumulator
and the heating system must be protected.
Since the temperature of the domestic hot water contained in the inner
tank cannot be limited, i.e. it tends to raise to the temperature of the pri
-
mary circuit, to avoid the danger of burnings, it is strongly recommended
to install a thermostatic mixing valve on the domestic hot water outlet. To
this end, it is advisable to use the special kit prepared by the manufactur
-
er, allowing also to correctly make, wherever necessary, a recirculation
circuit loop enabling the instant supply of hot water also to taps quite
distant from the thermal accumulator.
In general, heating plants producing domestic hot water, are always sub
-
ject to water treatment aiming to reduce damages from lime scale. In
Combi thermal accumulators these treatments become even more im
-
portant and necessary because of the impossibility to control the temper
-
ature of the accumulated sanitary water.
In case water with a hardness value higher than 25÷30 °Fr is used,
it is necessary to carry out a chemical conditioning treatment on
domestic water system inlet so as to prevent any possible scale due
to hard water or corrosion due to aggressive water.
In order to avoid the effects of any stray galvanic currents it is always
necessary to provide a PROPER GROUNDING of the systems.
4. Commissioning
Before commissioning a new water system, all pipes and equipment in
-
ternal parts must be washed so as to prevent any residues from previous
machining, dirt, etc. from remaining inside them and leading to problems
and malfunctions. The washing procedure can be carried out by using
special cleaning solutions inhibiting the corrosion on heating side and by
simply letting mains water flow inside the high-capacity domestic water
circuit for at least ten minutes.
During commissioning, the performance of a leak test (pressure
test) is strongly recommended.
5. Recommendations
The manufacturer, in order to adapt the product to the technological
progress and to special manufacturing, installation and positioning re
-
quirements may decide to make changes without previous notice. As a
consequence, even if the images shown in this manual slightly differ from
your equipment, the safety and indications on equipment use are never
-
theless ensured.
6. Operating conditions
Respect the limits of pressure and temperature indicated on the equip
-
ment label plate.
7. Disposal
At the end of the product life-cycle its metallic components
should be handed over to operators authorised to collect
metallic materials for recycling purposes, while non-metallic
components should be handed over to operators authorised
to dispose of them. If disposed of by the end customer, the products
must be managed as urban waste and therefore in compliance with
the municipal regulations of the relevant municipality. In any case they
should not be managed as household waste.
