4. Water connection

Dimensioning of the partial
desalinization system is necessary only
for the water consumption for
demoisturizing and for the steam
generator.
Increase the filter capacity with
separate soft water connections.
Increased use of demoisturizing system
can greatly increase the water
consumption.
•
If a combination of filters/water
preparation systems are installed,
make sure to follow the X-W-V-Y of the
unit observing the flow direction.
•
Connect the soft water connection (A)
as follows:
The soft water connection (A) is on the
left side of the unit on the floor. The
unprepared and untreated water is
connected separately to the cold water
(B) (in front of (A) on the unit floor).
•
Warm water at temperatures up to
60°C can be connected to (A). Then on
(B) a separate cold water connection
must be made.
•
Local water standards and regulations
should be adhered.
4.2 Water outlet
Water outlet position, see point (C) in
Connection plan.
•
Drain water connection has be via an
open drain (tundish funnel) with min.
50 mm outer diameter, DN 50 pipe
(not flexible), without kinks and with a
constant descending gradient of at
least 5% (3°).
•
Attention: Install siphon with funnel
next to or behind the unit but not
under the unit!
•
The minimum inner diameter of the
drain pipe for one unit is min. 46 mm
and must not taper.
•
If several units are to be connected to
one drain pipe, the pipe must be
dimensioned so that the drain water
can run off with no obstruction.
•
Average drain water temperature 65°C.
•
Local water standards and regulations
should be adhered to.
