Pull up the ventilation port as far as it will go (1).
Then rotate the ventilation valve located under the ventilation
port (2) until the ventilation-port pipe port can be pulled down and
removed (3).
Place the diagonally cut pipe to one side: it is no longer needed.

Insert the straight ventilation port, which was supplied with the
hood, through the gasket and slide it up as far as it will go.
Make sure that the gasket is seated correctly.

Slide the hose clip from below over the ventilation port and rotate
the ventilation valve until it lies under the ventilation port.

Push the ventilation port as far as it will go into the gasket of the
ventilation valve.
Make sure that the ventilation port stands about 5mm clear
above the top of the appliance.
Slide the hose clip over the spade terminal until it sits against the
gasket in the top cover of the appliance, then tighten using the
7mm socket wrench.
