Cleaning procedure
Step Action
1
Switch off the combi steamer and let the combi steamer and hood cool down.
Caution:
Risk of burns from contact with the hot baffle filters if the combi steamer was running before cleaning.

Power off the hood.

Remove the baffle filters.
Clean the baffle filters in the dishwasher on a weekly basis.
Please note:
It might be necessary to clean them on a daily basis if the amount of collected grease is larger than
usual.

Clean the removable mist collectors with a hot, mild detergent solution on a weekly basis.
Please note:
It might be necessary to clean them on a daily basis if the amount of collected grease is larger than
usual.

Check the condensate drain for blockages and clean it if necessary.

Check the amount of dirt on the secondary filter (ConvoVent 4: steam separator, ConvoVent 4+: fine
particle filter) and replace if necessary.
Please note:
ConvoVent 4
: We recommend changing the secondary filter (steam separator) after about 6-12
months.
ConvoVent 4+
: We recommend changing the secondary filter (fine particle filter) after about 12
months.
It may need replacing more frequently under demanding conditions.

Clean the outside and inside of the case with a hot, mild detergent solution.

Dry the hood case with a cloth.

Fit all the components back into place.
Notice
Dot not, under any circumstance, use scouring powders or heavy-duty scouring sponges. These will
damage the hood.
Handling cleaning agents
You must wear protective gear, as specified in
Personal protective equipment
, when using cleaning
agents.
The specifications of the cleaning agent manufacturer and the EC material safety data sheets must be
complied with.
Personnel must be trained regularly by the owner of the appliance.
Carrying out servicing tasks
You will need to carry out a few servicing tasks yourself. Any more extensive servicing tasks must only
be performed by a customer service entity.
