Timezone
- Users can set their Timezone in this setting. This allows for inputting a User’s Timezone by Region,
Country, and Timezone.
AES67 SYSTEM SETTINGS
The basic options are described here. See the section on AES67 operation for details on this function.
AES67 Enabled
- Enables the use of the AES67 AoIP engine. This is Enabled by default. Instances #2-5 require AES67
to be enabled for audio I/O.
Network Interface
- Allows selection of which network interface should be used for AES67. Users have the option
between Primary and Secondary network interfaces. The secondary interface is selected by default.
AES67 Frame Size
- Allows selection for the size of AES67 frames. Users have the option for 1 ms and 1/4 ms. 1 ms
is selected by default.
PTP Clocking and Clock Domain
- This allows configuration of the settings and status of the PTP clock subsystem.
The Clock Domain allows selection of which PTP clock domain to synchronize with. This accepts a value between
0-128 and is set to 0 by default.
Instance Settings
- Under the Instance settings are the AES67 settings for each of the five instances individually.
Enable: Turns on the AES67 engine for this instance. If instance is unused, this should be disabled to conserve
network bandwidth.
Inputs
- This setting allows users to set the delay and network name of the source settings. Delay allows users to
set delays in their input audio streams and is default set to 5 ms. Source allows for selecting a AES67 name of the
source for this input to receive from.
Outputs -
This setting allows users to configure the Network Name and address of the MultiRack’s AES67 output.
ADVANCED GLOBAL SETTINGS
ADVANCED CROSSLOCK VPN SETTINGS
CrossLock VPN UDP Port
- Sets the UDP port used for CrossLock VPN Connections. Default is set to UDP 9001. It’s
usually only necessary to change the default CrossLock port if you have several MultiRacks connected via a router
to the same public IP address. If you change this port, avoid the MultiRack Bric Normal ports of 9000, and 9002-
9005.MultiRack uses a global UDP port for all CrossLock connections among the five instances. If you don’t change
the default of 9001, or if you change it and use Switchboard, port numbers are automatically sorted at connection
time. If you are not using Switchboard and need to change the CrossLock UDP port, there will be special entries
required on the calling codec. See the Comrex Tech Note “
Non-Standard CrossLock Ports and non-Switchboard
Connections
” on www.comrex.com for more information.
