Critical Suspend:

The system enters Critical Suspend

following a Battery Critical indication. The system stays in
Critical Suspend until an Unlock Event occurs (unit placed in
the Dock or changing the Battery Pack). When the unlock
event occurs the system returns to the previous point of
operation and awakens by pressing the <Power> key.

Note:

DO NOT attempt to operate the Apex PDT once it has

powered down due to a low battery condition. When the
Battery Pack is exhausted, leave the exhausted Battery
Pack in the Apex PDT until you can either charge it in
place or swap the Battery Pack with a charged Battery
Pack. Information in volatile memory (RAM) will be
preserved since the Apex PDT is configured so that even
with an exhausted Battery Pack enough energy is retained
to maintain the information for an extended period of time.
DO NOT leave the unit WITHOUT a Battery Pack for
more than 5 minutes.

Using The Power Saving Features

1.

Enter the BIOS Setup and display the Power Setup screen by
pressing <F2> during the system boot, then pressing the
Right Arrow < > key twice. If the factory default values
have NOT been changed the following screen will be
displayed:
