Memory
Server node memory can be expanded by installing Compaq Dual Inline
Memory Modules (DIMMs). The Compaq ProLiant CL380 system supports
up to four registered Synchronous DRAM (SDRAM) DIMMs installed in slots
on the system board. Memory can be added one module at a time.
IMPORTANT:
Compaq recommends that both server nodes be configured identically.
You
must
observe the following guidelines when installing additional
memory:
■
DIMMs installed in the ProLiant CL380 must be 133-MHz registered
SDRAM, 3.3 volts, 72-bits wide, and ECC.
■
All DIMMs installed must be of the same speed, for example, all
133 MHz.
■
The system is shipped with one DIMM in DIMM slot 1 of each server
node.
■
DIMMs should be installed in sequential order starting at DIMM slot 1.
CAUTION:
Use only Compaq DIMMs. DIMMs from other sources may adversely
affect data integrity.
