Press the Power On/Standby switch 

 on server node 1.

Check the server node Power On/Standby switch LED indicators. The
following settings indicate that the power switch is on and there is a link
to the network:

 

The Power On/Standby LED turns from amber to green

 

The Link LED turns green

 

6.

 

When the Power On/Standby LED turns solid green, watch for the hard
drive LED indicators to blink. If the LED indicators do not light, power
down the node and check the power cable connection to the hard drive
cage.

 

7.

 

Repeat steps 4 through 6 for server node 2.

 

Completing the Installation Process

Use the Compaq SmartStart and Support Software CD to configure the system.
For detailed instructions, refer to the 

Compaq ProLiant CL380

Software User Guide.

IMPORTANT:

  The SmartStart and Support Software CD also holds the Compaq System

Configuration Utility. Run the System Configuration Utility after you install an option in your
ProLiant CL380.
