41. CLEANING THE SUCTION HOSE
Whenever suction seems to be unsatisfactory, check that the suction tube is not obstructed. If necessary
clean with a jet of water as follows:
1.
Connect the electrical system connector to the battery connector
2.
Turn the key switch to the “1” position
3.
Turn the I-DRIVE selector to the “Transfer” position. Both the base and the squeegee rise and after a
few seconds the suction motor will turn off.
4.
Turn the key switch to the “0” position and remove the key from the instrument panel
5.
Engage the parking brake
6.
Disconnect the electrical connector from the battery connector
WARNING: Before performing any maintenance, remove the keys from the
panel and disconnect the battery connector of the machine.
WARNING: This operation must be carried out using gloves to protect against
contact with dangerous solutions.
7.
Disconnect the suction hose from the squeegee nozzle (1)
8.
Disconnect the suction hose from the holder (2) at the rear of the recovery tank
9.
Disconnect the suction hose (3) from the nozzle (4) in the right-hand brush head cover
10.
Disconnect the suction hose from the nozzle (4) in the left-hand brush head cover
11.
Clean the hose with a jet of fresh water entering from the end where it is inserted into the holder at the
rear of the recovery tank
12.
Refit all the parts
42. CLEANING THE RECOVERY TANK
Proceed as follows for cleaning:
1.
Ensure that the electrical system connector is disconnected from the battery connector
2.
Ensure that the main switch is in the “0” position
3.
Check the parking brake is engaged
4.
Check the recovery tank is empty (if necessary, empty it).
