There are two groups of eight optically dec24 V outputs available at the Phoenix output
connectors. They are defined as follows:
PIN 1
+24 VDC
PIN 2
Output Common
PIN 3
Output 0
PIN 4
Output 1
PIN 5
Output 2
PIN 6
Output 3
PIN 7

PIN 10
Output 7
Pin 11

A +24 V output can be assigned to a signal from a specific tool. For example, output pin 5 from
Opal 2 can be used as
Step complete
from tool 6:
Not used
Not used
OK
Active if Torque / Angle / Yield are within programmed limits
NOK
Active if Torque / Angle / Yield are outside limits or some other
error has occurred
Linking finished
Active when execution of all set positions / steps for the
selected tightening group are complete
Tool online
Active as long as an assigned tool in the tool holder is
communicating with the system
Tool synchronized
Active when all data have been reconciled after successful
communication between TMEB and tool
Linking OK
Active if all set positions / steps for the tightening group were
OK
Linking NOK
Active if one or more set positions / steps for the tightening
group were NOK
Mirroring App D0
Mirroring App D0-7 is used to designate the currently selected
applications 1-255 with the aid of a binary counter of 0-254,
mirroring App D0 being the bit with the lowest priority.

Mirroring App D5
Mirroring App D6
Mirroring App D7
ATTENTION!
If the tool is not connected, the outputs are reset. The signal TOOL SYNCHRONIZED and
MIRRORING App D0-D7 is an exception. Outputs are updated after rundown data are
received
