Configuration
Part ID: Open the configuration table by pressing the <F3>
Configuration
softkey in the
Commu-
nication / Part ID
screen. A maximum of 12 position and value pairs can be entered and assigned
to functions. When the station controller receives a new Part ID, the entries in the table are read.
If an entry in the Part ID corresponds to one of the defined "Values" in the relevant "Position", the
assigned "Function" is activated.
The entries appear in a table in the top section of the screen. The
Position
,
Value
,
Function
and
PG/TG
(Product Group/Tightening Group) entry fields are located at the bottom of the screen.
Pressing the <F1>
Add
softkey transfers the current values to the entry fields in the table. All val-
ues are checked before being transferred to the table. New entries are always added at the END
of the table. Pressing the <F2>
Delete
softkey opens a dialog window for entering the number of
the table line you wish to delete. Select
Cancel
to cancel the delete function. Press the <F3>
Part
ID
softkey to open the Part ID configuration screen.
Keypad Entry
Defines whether or not a Part ID can be entered manually
Allowed
You can enter a work piece ID manually. To do so, select
the Work piece ID field at the Run Screen and input data
via the key pad or an external keyboard.
Disallowed
The Part ID can not be entered manually from the run
screen.
Data Function
Allows the tool functionality to be automatically controlled based on the Part
ID. See “Configure Data” below.
None
The Part ID characters have no control over the tool func-
tionality. The <F3> “Configure Data” Softkey on the Part
ID configuration screen is disabled.
Note:
setting this option to “None” does NOT cause Con-
figure Data table entries to be lost.
Configuration
The position and value pairs in the configuration table can
be used to control the function of the tool. Activating spe-
cial functions enables the <F3> "Configuration" softkey.
You can enter position and value pairs in the configuration
table and assign tool functions to them, which are then
controlled based on the part ID.
Barcode type
Defines which barcode type is read by the barcode scanner on the tool.
Activating the
scanner
on the tool
The barcode scanner on the tool is activated by pressing the start button.
• If a barcode is the condition for a rundown to be started, the barcode
scanner is activated as soon as the start button is pressed. If the barcode
has been read successfully, pressing the start button again starts the fas-
tening sequence.
• If a barcode is not a condition to start a rundown, you can use the menu
scanner or the programmable left function key <F1> on the tool to manu-
ally activate a read cycle. Afterwards, the barcode scanner is activated
whenever the start button is pressed. If the barcode has been read suc-
cessfully, pressing the start button again starts the fastening sequence. If
the barcode has been read successfully, the acoustic signal beeps for 500
ms. If the barcode cannot be read within 3 seconds or there is an interrup-
tion by opening the start switch, the acoustic signal emits 3 beeps in rapid
succession.
