There are two groups of eight optically dec24 V inputs available at the Phoenix input
connectors. They are defined as follows:
PIN 1 +24 VDC
PIN 2 Input 0
PIN 3 Input 1
PIN 4 Input 2
PIN 5 Input 3
PIN 6 Input 4
PIN 7 Input 5
Pin 8 Input 6
PIN 9 Input 7
PIN 10 Input Common
Pin 11 Signal Ground
Pin 12 Spare
A +24 V input can be assigned to a signal from a specific tool or to all tools. For example, input
pin 4 from Opal 1 can be used as a
Tool Enable from tool 3 or Tool Enable for all tools.
When Tool Enable for all tools is used, the chosen input is passed as Tool Enable to all tools in
the system.

External Tool enable When activated, the tool can be used in conjunction with Tool
Start.
Application selection 0 Application selection 0-7 is used to select from Applications
1-255 with the aid of a binary counter 0-254, with application
selection 0 being the bit with the lowest priority. This function
overwrites Application changes made with the keyboard. When
the step is activated, the tightening group with these inputs is
selected.

Reset step
When activated, the step (batch counter) is reset to set position
one.
NOK interlock Used when the NOK interlock is activated by system settings and
the enable method is
External Tool enable . If the tool is disabled
because the number of NOK rundowns has been reached, this
input is activated again after changeover.
All inputs are active high. They are referenced to an isolated Input Common (pin 10). When using
the in24 V (pin 1) to activate these inputs, you must connect Input Common (pin 10) and
GND (pin 11).
