RAFTER AND MAIN FRAME ASSEMBLY: MIDDLE RAFTER

For additional stability, the end rafter and second rafter pipe configuration is duplicated near the middle of

the frame.

These are rafters #15 and #16

. Complete the steps below to continue the frame assembly:

1. Using the diagram as a guide, locate three (3) couplers (CP287X125M) and four individual pipes for

the rafter: 36HB287P1E, 36HB287P2E, 36HB287P3E and 36HB287P4E.

2. Install a Tek screw (FA4484B) into the center hole of each CP287X125M coupler to set the distance

the coupler slides onto each pipe.

3. Take the first two pipes and slide each into a mounted rafter foot. Consult the END PROFILE–LEFT

END diagram in the Quick Start section for pipe identification.

NOTE:

Purlin holes in the rafter pipes should point toward the next rafter (#16) to be installed.

4. Slide a coupler over the end of each pipe and assemble the remainder of the rafter–two pipes with

another coupler at the peak. (Install purlins between the couplers of Rafter #14 and Rafter #15.)

5. Assemble the next rafter (#16–Middle Rafter) in the same manner using the same rafter pipes.

Remember to position the purlin holes of the rafter toward Rafter #15 assembled in the steps above.

6. Install all purlins between these two rafters. Diagrams A and B show the installation of the 1" purlins.

7. Using Diagrams C and D (above), remove the mounting lag bolt as needed for each foot and attach the

104074 bracket as shown. These brackets are used to anchor the cables when they are installed.

8. Move to the opposite side of the frame and install a 104074 bracket in each of those locations for the

same two rafters.
