N.B. The degree of inclination can be read after removing
the instrument from the patient’s back as well
(holding the
stick still between the thumb and forefinger), without the
risk of losing the value.
Cobb angle measuring technique by means of the
inclinometer
The instrument’s edge is drawn near the upper rim sign (the
most inclined vertebra), the stick is then rotated until it is
level; the degree of inclination is read on the goniometric
scale. Then measure the lower rim sign.
The Cobb angle is given by the sum of the two inclination
angles of the rim signs.

06830 - ILIAC CRESTS ANALYZER
4.1
INTENDED USE AND DESCRIPTION
Manual instrument suitable for assessing the heterometry of
the lower limbs in discharge, for supine patient.
4.2
MATERIALS
Plastic, PMMA.
4.3
PACKAGE CONTENT
Iliac Crest Analyzer, 1pc
4.4
SETUP AND USE
The device does not require installation and is ready for use.
Position the articulated arms on the patient's iliac crests so
as to check their flatness using the level / bubble installed
on the central body.
In the event that the instrument highlights the presence of
misalignment of the iliac crests it is generally possible to
apply elevations from the lower side in order to achieve the
alignment of the iliac crests.
06730 - SET OF SHIMS G
By means of this evaluation, it is possible to quantify
the extent of the difference in height of the iliac
crests. Attention, however, this data should not be
assimilated to an assessment of the heterometry of
the lower limbs, in fact a difference in level of the
pelvis (and therefore of the iliac crests) can also
derive from other factors concerning the spine or the
same conformation of the pelvis or the lower limbs,
both for skeletal and functional reasons.
