2. APPLICATIoN RANGE
– The
RHU230-630
head, when used with relevant adaptors (Ref. to Fig. 5), is suitable for
all semi-circular dies common to 130 kN
Cembre
tools, to crimp connectors on copper
conductors up to 400 mm
2
(800 MCM) and on aluminium conductors up to 300 mm
2
(600 MCM).
With suitable adaptors, the whole range of pre-rounding and crimping dies common to
all 130 kN
Cembre
tools can also be used to crimp connectors on aluminium cables up to
240mm
2
using the deep indent crimping system (see tables
A
and
B
and Fig. 3).
– The use of specific dies allows for crimping connectors on conductors in general up
to 630 mm
2
(1250 MCM).
3. INSTRUCTIoNS FoR USE
3.1) Setting
– The head is equipped with a "self-lock" quick male coupler suitable for connection to
a hydraulic, pneumatic or electrical pump from the
Cembre
range.
4. CRIMPING oF CoNNECToRS oN ALUMINIUM CABLES WITH SECTIoN
oF 300, 400, 500 and 630 mm²
(Ref. to Fig. 2)
4.1) Assembly of AU230-630 upper adaptor
– The adaptor
AU230-630
must be inserted into the specific guides of the fork (8) until
self located by spring loaded balls (10) in lateral slots on adaptor.
To remove the adaptor, push firmly enough to dislodge the spring loaded balls from the
guide.
4.2) Assembly of dies, indentors and pre-rounders
–
The containing die or fixed part of the pre-rounding die
can be directly inserted or
removed; they can simply be placed in the
AU230-630
adaptor by matching, during
each compression, the upper slots and the two staves present in the adaptor itself,
following the indenting sequence shown in Fig.1.
