Using Icon Help
Icon help displays g u idance text a b o u t an icon w hen yo u select it
on the monitor screen w hile in the REC mode.
•
Icon help text is displayed for the follo w ing f u nctions:
Recording mode, metering, flash mode, w hite b alance, self-
timer, EV shift. Note, ho w e v er, that metering, w hite b alance,
self-timer and EV shift icon help text appears only w hen
“Metering”, “ W hite Balance”, “Self-timer” or “EV shift”
respecti v ely is assigned to the [
W
] and [
X
] keys w ith the key
c u stomization feat u re (page 13 8 ).
1.
In the REC mode, press [MENU].
2.
On the “REC” tab, select “Icon Help” and then
press [
X
].
3.
Use [
S
] and [
T
] to select the setting you want
and then press [SET].
IMPORTANT!
•
The icons listed b elo w do not appear on the display w hile
icon help is t u rned off.

– W hite b alance icon (page 126)
– Metering mode icon (page 130)
