Setup Option Reference

To determine which setup options are currently used by the imagePRESS Server, print the Configuration page (see

Print the Configuration page

on page 98). Make sure that the setup options you choose are appropriate for your

printing environment. If your network or printing environment changes, you may need to adjust your settings.

For information about settings not discussed in this section, see

Configure Help

Note:

The Scan to Email, Scan to FTP, and Scan to Internet Fax functions are no longer supported. These settings

still display in the Scan portion of Configure, but are not valid.

APPE options

To access the APPE options, choose Configure > RIP > APPE.

Enable Adobe PDF Print Engine (APPE)

Allows native PDF processing and rendering without the need to convert the job from PDF to PS on the imagePRESS

Server.

Settings:

On (default)

Off

Use Adobe PDF Print Engine Preferred as Default for PDF Jobs

Use this option to specify whether Adobe PDF Print Engine (APPE) is the preferred method of processing PDF jobs.

This allows PDF processing and rendering without the need to convert the job from PDF to PS on the imagePRESS

Server.
