1.THE TAP CHANGER CONNECTED TO THE MOTOR DRIVE 1.12.310 IS A “DETC” TAP CHANGER. IT HAS TO
OPERATE WITHOUT VOLTAGE. ALL THE CHANGING OPERATION MUST BE PERFORMED WHEN THE TRANSFORMER
IS DISCONNECTED. For special application, like induction furnace transformers with tap changer connected to Low
Voltage winding, please contact transformer manufacturer.
CONTROL BOX AND RELATIVE BEVEL GEARS HAVE TO BE CORRECTLY CONNECTED TO EARTH.
THE CONTROL BOX IS SUPPLIED WITH A THREE-PHASE POWER FOR THE MOTOR CIRCUITS WHILE A SINGLE PHASE
LOW VOLTAGE IS SUPPLIED BY AN INTERNAL SINGLE-PHASE TRANSFORMER OR A POWER SUPPLY AC / DC INSIDE
THE CABINET. IT IS WITHOUT A DOOR LOCK. BEFORE YOU OPEN THE DOOR IS RECOMMENDED TO DISCONNECT THE
POWER SUPPLY.
CHECK POWER SUPPLIES AND FREQUENCY, THEY HAVE TO BE THE SAME VALUES AS REPORTED ON THE DATA
PLATE.
MAKE SURE THAT THE HAND-LEVER (No. 1 - see enclosed motor specifications) HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM MOTOR.
CONNECTIONS, CONTROL BOX STARTING SERVICE, OPERATIONS AND FOLLOWING INTERVENTIONS ON ELECTRICAL
COMPONENTS HAS TO BE MADE ONLY FROM QUALIFIED AND AUTHORIZED PEOPLE.
ORDINARY AND EXTRAORDINARY MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS, CLEANING AND CONTROL OPERATIONS HAVE TO BE
MADE UNDER MAXIMUM SAFETY CONDITIONS WITH POWER SUPPLY SOURCE DISCONNECTED
BEFORE MAKING ANY OPERATION, READ SCRUPULOUSLY THE FOLLOWING PARAGRAPHS AND PERFORM WITH
ATTENTION THE STARTING SERVICE OPERATIONS.
DO NOT TAMPER THE CONTROL BOX INTERNAL PARTS. UNAUTHORIZED WORK, I.E. MODIFICATION, ALTERATION,
DIFFERENT ELECTRICAL CONNECTION OF THE EQUIPMENT MUST NOT BE CARRIED OUT WITHOUT FIRST CONSULTING
C.a.p.t.
IN CASE OF DOUBTS OR UNCERTAINTY PLEASE CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER.
N.B. EACH DAMAGE DUE TO THE NON-OBSERVANCE OF THESE ISSUE INSTRUCTIONS CANNOT BE
CHARGE TO C.A.P.T. AND CAN CAUSE THE FINISH OF WARRANTY CONDITIONS.

DESCRIPTION
The motor
(E)
installed inside the control box 1.12.310 is three-phase induction brake type “COEL” - F71B4-B14. To
the motor are directly connected a reduction gear and an electromechanical terminal board with limit switches. Motor
and auxiliary wiring diagram are represented in the enclosed drawing. Inside the control box take places a heater with
an adjustable thermostat, in order to avoid formation of condense. Motor dimensional and electrical characteristics are
reported in the specific enclosed (catalogue copies).
On internal door are assembled many components like emergency button
(SB1)
, safety lamps for three phase (motor
circuit)
(HL1)
and single phase (auxiliary circuit) feed to indicate voltage inside the control box
(HL2).
Moreover, take
place a signal lamp for the wrong phases cyclic sense
(HL3)
(has to be switched-off when the three phases are cor-
rectly connected) that illuminate after the first running impulse in case phases cyclic sense being wrong. Than, signal
lamp burning when the adjustment operation is out of position
(HL4)
,
1-N (SH1)
and
N-1 (SH2)
push buttons, three
phase input disconnecting device
(QS1)
, local/remote switch
(SA1)
and the operation counter
(CC)
. On the doors there
are keys. Keys to prevent operation by unauthorized personnel must lock doors.
On auxiliary circuit is provided a H.V. contact with two terminals X2:1 e X2:2. They must be connected to the transfor-
mer’s high voltage bus-coupler switch. When the two contacts are closed the high voltage bus-coupler switch must be
open, therefore the transformer is de-energized and it is possible to work with the motor drive.
If the transformer causes extremely strong mechanical vibration, we suggest fixing the motor drive 1.12.310 by vibra-
tion absorbers.
Terminal board X4 has dead contacts (without voltage) for remote signal of positions.
On request, we also supply a remote-control-box. 1.12.350.

Electrical control: by an impulse of about half-second. The tap changing operation will be automatically finished.
Position indication: mechanical, on the control box by a fixed window is possible to read the corresponding position;
electrical, by free terminals on “X4” terminal board for remote lamp panel.
N.B. For different Voltages read the specific attachment.
