1 INTRODUCTION

WARNINGS FOR THE INSTALLER

Before proceeding with the installation read this manual carefully, because the guarantee will be
automatically cancelled as a result of negligence, incorrect operation, improper use or tampering with the
circuit by unauthorised people.

Only specialised personnel should perform the installation and maintenance operations.
Use insulated screwdrivers and do not touch the terminals directly to avoid electro-static shocks.
Do not install the exchange or telephones connected to it near water (e.g. laundries, swimming pools,
damp surfaces) or heat sources (radiators, stoves, cookers).
Do not install the exchange in places which are very dusty or where there are corrosive vapours.
Room temperature from 0 to 40

°

C, relative humidity from 20% to 80%, not condensing.

When the installation is complete perform the following operations:
1.

Perform all the tests described in section 9.7 “SYSTEM TYPE APPROVAL” carefully;

2.

Check all the functions described in the “MAIN FUNCTIONS” chapter;

3.

Perform the necessary programming described in the programming chapters, remembering to

make a note of all the programming data in the summary table; also when the programming is finished,
check correct operation of the exchange and all the telephones connected to it again.
