8.7 EXAMPLE OF ACTIVATION OF LOCKS ON OUTGOING DIALLING
The following operations should be performed to activate locks on outgoing dialling:
1. Define which telephone prefixes should be locked and make a note of them in the table
2. Define which are the Telecom telephone prefixes to be unlocked and make a note of them in the
table. As an example, if the 0 is locked, but you want to make calls in your local area, unlock its
telephone prefix (02 for Milan, 06 for Rome, etc.)
3. Define the other carriers (as well as Telecom) and make a note of them in the table
4. Define the telephone prefixes to be unlocked for each carrier and make a note of them in the table
EXAMPLE 1
Lock long-distance calls with just one carrier (Telecom)
A. Fill in the table of prefixes to be locked (0 for all Telecom local and long-distance calls)
A.1 Lift the receiver
A.2 Press the key
A.3 Dial the sequence:
A.4 After receiving the confirmation tone, hang up
B. Fill in the table of prefixes to be unlocked (unlock the local area prefix to make just local calls. As an
example for Milan 02, for Rome 06 etc.).
B.1 Lift the receiver

B.3 Dial the sequence:
B.4 After receiving the confirmation tone, hang up
