10.2.1 Insert Sample

Note: The safety door must be closed before a sample can be transferred!
To insert a new sample into the probe:
1. Press the Insert Sample button or select Changer -> Insert Sample from the main
menu.

The Insert Sample dialog window will open displaying all the sample positions.

2. Select an available sample to be transferred by clicking on the sample position with
your mouse.

The dialog window will close and the transfer will start immediately.
Note : When a sample is already in the probe, the system will automatically perform
an Eject Sample and remove the old rotor. In this case, the new rotor will automati-
cally be inserted into the probe when the old sample has been ejected.

When the transfer is complete, the Rotor ID of the inserted sample will be shown in
the system view magnet position (see
Figure 10.1 /4), with a blue background indi-
cating the sample is In Measurement .
