Once the scanner has identified the barcode, the Body Selection screen will be displayed
(Section 4.7).
If the barcode fails to be identified, you may try again by repositioning the scanner, adding
additional light or scanning another of the patient’s barcodes.
If the barcode cannot be scanned, pressing the Manual Patient ID button ( ) in the lower right
corner will allow you to enter the Patient ID manually. (Section 4.6.4) Following the entry of
the Patient ID, the system will move to the Select Body Location screen.
4.6.2
Manual Charting mode
Upon entering Manual Charting mode, the Body Selection screen will be displayed (Section 4.7).
NOTE: In this mode, even if the scanner is configured to connect to a Gateway Server, no patient
data will be saved in the scanner or uploaded.
NOTE: Individual SEM and SEM∆ should be noted in the patient’s physical or electronic medical
record per your institutions policies and procedures.
4.6.3
Training mode
Upon entering Training mode, the Training mode screen will be displayed (Figure 18).

Scan each body area as desired per Section 5.
Touch the Refresh Icon ( ) to clear current data and commence a new scan.
Touch the Home icon ( ) will return you to the Install Sensor Screen (Provizio SEM Scanner S only,
Section 4.5) or the Mode Selection Screen (Provizio SEM Scanner only), and a new patient session
will begin.
