Once the sensor has been installed, press the Next Screen ( ) to advance to next step,
as described above.
Select mode of operation
After successful calibration, the Provizio SEM Scanner offers three possible workflows (Figure
15):
1.
Pressing the Barcode button ( ) will implement
the full data upload operational mode. Use this
mode if the patient has a barcoded wristband and
the Gateway Software is installed on the
institution’s WIFI network.

2.
Pressing the Manual charting button ( ) will
implement the manual operation mode. This
mode is appropriate when the patient does not
have a barcoded wristband or the institution does
not have the Gateway Software installed.
3.
Pressing the Manual Patient ID button ( ) in the
lower right corner will allow the user to enter the
Patient ID manually. Following the entry of the
patient ID, the system will move to the Select
Body Location Screen.
Note: Pressing the Training button ( ) in the lower left corner will implement a test mode for
training and research.
