1. Unscrew bleed screws above both
front and rear cylinders.

1. Rear cylinder bleed screw
2. Fill the cooling system until coolant
comes out of the bleed screw(s).
3. Squeeze the top of the coolant
hose between the radiator and
coolant pump several times until
all air is bled from the highest point
of the hose.
4. Install the bleed screw using a
N NE EW W gasket rings and tighten to
specification.

5.0 ± 0.6 Nm
(44 ± 5 lbf-in)
5. Continue adding coolant until sys-
tem is full up to the pressure cap.
6. Refill coolant tank up to MAX level
mark.
7. Run engine at idle with the radiator
cap off. Slowly add coolant if
necessary.
8. At this point, wait until engine
reaches normal operating
temperature.
9. Depress the throttle lever two or
three times; then add coolant if
required.
10. Stop the engine and let it cool
down.
11. Install coolant reservoir cap.
12. Inspect all connections for leaks
and check coolant level in the
reservoir.

The muffler must be periodically
purged of accumulated carbon.

Select a well-ventilated area and
make sure the muffler is cool.
Place gearbox on PARK position.
Remove the clean out plug of the
muffler.
