Setting the Menu Security

When setting the menu security, access to the Administration mode can be restricted by setting a password.

Press the Menu, [

], or [
▼
] Button to select the [
Administration
] menu, and then press the [OK]
Button.

Select [
Menu Security
], press [
▲
] or [
▼
] to select [
On
], and then press the [OK] Button.
Specify the first number using [
▲
] or [
▼
], and then press the [OK] Button to proceed to the next number.
Specify the remaining three numbers in the same way.
Note
• After a password has been set, the password input screen appears when the [
Administration
] menu
is selected. Enter the specified 4-digit password using [
▲
] or [
▼
], and then press the [OK] Button.
• To cancel the password settings, select the [
Administration
] menu and enter the password. Then,
select [
Menu Security
] > [
Off
].
• If you do not remember the password, use [
Device settings
] in the
Printer Setting Tool
to return all
settings to their factory defaults, or specify the password again and apply it. For more information, see
