Before Using Your Printer for the First Time
1-5. About the humidifier
The humidifier works to maintain the image quality and keeps the humidity of the unit properly.
Furthermore, the water accumulated inside the humidifier will be regularly discarded for hygiene control.
<IMPORTANT>

If the humidity inside the printer is low, the amount of ink consumed will increase to maintain the functionality of the printer.

If excessive water is supplied to the humidifier, the water will be released through the hose on the lower right front side of the
printer. Do not connect power cords on the floor near the printer. Doing so may result in electric shock.
<TIPS>

The humidifier will not operate if the ambient humidity is high and the humidity inside the unit is sufficiently high.
1-5-1. About the water used
Use pure water.
<IMPORTANT>

If non-pure water, such as tap water, is used, white powdery impurities will adhere to the inside of the unit, causing damage to the
printer and heads.
1-5-2. Water supply
Select the water supply to the printer from the following two methods.
Please refer to the Setup Manual for how to connect to the printer.

<NOTE>

If supplying water from a water pipe, perform piping according to the applicable laws and regulations.

If necessary, use a regulator so that the supply pressure will be 0.2 MPa or less.
