Change RGB=255 bitmap white to RGB=254:
RGB=255 (paper color) white is always transparent with no ink printed. When you print an image like photo, there
may be RGB=255 white spots and they will be ink holes. Normally you can select RGB=255 white directly with
the menu in select and replace to RGB=254 white. If you can not select directly RGB=255 in the image, follow the
steps below to change RGB=255 white to RGB=254 white.
(1) Select [ Layer ] > [ New Adjustment Layer ] > [ Selective Color ... ] menu and make a new adjustment layer.
Set [Opacity ] as [ 20% ] and click "OK".
Photoshop 7
(2) In Selective Color Options dialog, change [ Colors ] to [ Whites ], move [ Black ] slider to [ 1% ] , make
[ Method ] to [ Absolute ] and then click "OK".
<Note>
Photoshop Action file to change RGB=255 to RGB=254 is available in Useful Tools. (See "3-3-9. Opening
the Useful Tools"). For further information, refer to the Photoshop help.
