9a Latch and Strike/Keeper for Outswing Doors
Local codes vary from state to state. Check your local
codes before installing the coat hook and door pulls.

Line up the center hole of the strike/keeper with the mark on
the pilaster . Using the strike/keeper as a template, drill Ø ¼"
holes through the pilaster . It is not necessary to remove the
strike/keeper before drilling. Secure the strike/keeper to the
pilaster using hardware provided .

Measure 5½" (140mm) from the latched side of the door and
25¾" (654mm) down from the top of the door. Drill a Ø ¼"
hole through the face of the door . Drill an identical hole 3½"
(89mm) below the hole just drilled. Install one door pull to each
side of the door with the hardware provided .
Using the latch mounting holes as a template, drill a Ø

pilot hole into the door, ¾" (19mm) deep. Secure the latch to
the door using hardware provided .

With the door in the closed position, set the latch on the
inside of the door so that the slide bar is centered on the
strike/keeper. The leading edge of the latch should be
positioned approximately

" (25mm) from the door edge.
Install the coat hook according to local codes .
For suggested location see image below
Install the wall bumper in the lower corner of the door
opposite the hinged side at a location 3" (76mm) up
from the bottom and 3"(76mm) over from the side.
Using a Ø

" drill bit, drill two holes (max. ¾" deep).
Secure the wall bumper using the hardware provided.
Repeat steps A-G for remaining doors .
The measurement from the top of the door to the
center hole on the strike/keeper is 27½" (699mm).
Mark this measurement on the inside of the pilaster,
opposite the hinged side of the door .
