Preparing the Wiring

The HD Conference Dome contains four cables: a coax cable, an

Ethernet cable for transmitting control data, a 24 VAC power

input cable, and an alarm input/output cable.

The coax cable transmits HD-SDI video signals. The Ethernet

connection carries control information and can deliver power to

the camera via the Power-over-E (PoE+) standard.

Refer to

Section 9 Audio, Alarms and Relay Connections, page 56

for alarm connection information.

8.1

Power

The recommended power cable is a 2-conductor, 14-18 gage

cable, depending on the distance.
