Information texts and error messages can be displayed in the information area
during operation.
The sequential number of the selected line is shown in the second area. The
column is not assigned.
The fields "Open applications" and "Current language" are filled in
by the system. If branching to subroutines occurs, these are also
entered as "Open applications". In this case, the applications can‐
not be toggled - otherwise, the relationship of the programs would
be lost.
Block Search Scope of Functions
The block search provides the user with the possibility to start NC processing
within the selected main NC program. This function acts like an absolute branch
from the start of the program to the target block. The selected program has to
be at the start.
Using the long cursor, the operator selects the desired target block to which a
branch is to be made from the start of the program.
After having triggered "NC start", the NC begins program processing starting
at this block and based on the current machine and control system states. Af‐
terwards, a special NC screen is displayed. The prior blocks are not executed
or taken into account.
The default M-key function is the key "Block search" in the level "Program func‐
tions"
When Block search is retrieved, the selected NC program is displayed.
The cursor is normally located on the 1st block of the displayed NC program.
If the program has already been processed previously using block search, the
previously selected block is marked.
Generally the block search is used to designate a main block that contains all
required geometric and technological data for continued operation of the pro‐
gram, especially tool replacement.
The block search can also be used to specify any NC block (auxiliary block).
For this, the operator has to set the required geometric and technological data
in "MDI operation" beforehand.
In doing so, the conditions required on the machine for the actual entry block
can be set up.
The target block of the displayed NC program can be selected with the arrow
keys.
Please note that the selected NC block number must not exist sev‐
eral times in the NC program. The system jumps to the block
number found first.
Pressing the F-key "Apply block" will start the block search and close the ap‐
plication.
NC Program Restart Scope of Functions
NC program restart is a function for testing and implementing NC programs so
that the operating procedure can be started at any block in the NC program/
subroutine. NC program restart is an extension of the NC function "Block
search".
