Main Area (Tool List)

Data elements of a tool data table can be displayed and modified in the main

area of the tool list.
The tool data sets of a tool data table are displayed in the lines / line groups

(partial lists) of the table.
The main area can be divided into 3 parts in the tool list configuration (see 

fig.

8-2 " Screen layout of a tool list" on page 113

):

1.

Fixed, non-editable table area:
This part of the table contains data that cannot be edited and which are

used to identify the data sets.

2.

Frozen, editable table area:
This part of the table contains data that can be edited and which are nev‐

ertheless used to identify the data sets; therefore, they always have to be

visible.

3.

Scrollable table area:
This part of the table contains all other data that can be edited.

The two fixed table areas should be kept as small as possible so that extensive

scrolling is prevented.

Status Line

The status line of the tool list display is divided into several areas:

Information Area

●

Additive value entry

●

List of open windows in this mode

●

Current language

If a limit value is defined for the tool data element selected in the list using cursor

navigation, the input limits are displayed in the information area.
As a rule, limit definitions can be based on:
●

data elements in a scheme and/or

●

tool and data elements in the list configuration

.
The mode "Additive value entry" is shown in the 2nd field by the text "ADD" (see

chapter  "Additive Value Entry" on page 117

).

The mode "Absolute value entry" is shown in the 2nd field by the text "ABS".
The mode "Diameter value entry" is shown in the 2nd field by the text "DIA" (see

"Diameter Entry" on page 117

).

The fields "Open windows" and "Current language" are filled in by

the system.
