In the default configuration, the function can also be retrieved using menu func‐
tion Edit ▶ Delete tool.
The "Delete tool" function resets all data elements indicated in the
data scheme as tool data, i.e.
●
numeric values are written with "0",
● Boolean values are set to "FALSE",
● strings are written with "empty string".
This function also exists as a PLC function.
The following box for selecting the sector and location provides the user with a
free data set / tool storage position as a target position for offsetting a tool data
record.

In the default configuration, the function can also be called using menu function
Edit ▶ Offset tool.
The "Offset tool" function moves all data elements indicated in the
data scheme as tool data to an available location in the database
table.
This function also exists as a PLC function.
Using menu bar Edit ▶ Copy tool, the "Copy tool" function can be activated as
a pure interface function. The following box for selecting the sector and location
provides the user with a free data set / tool storage position as a target position
for the duplicated tool.
