Correction of Entries
Errors in the calculation can be caused by:
●
an undefined operation,
● a function call with an inadmissible argument,
● by a number overflow in the final or an interim result,
● brackets that are not arranged equally or
● syntax errors.
With all these causes, "Error" appears in the display in order to signal the error
status. Afterwards, the calculator must be reset before you can continue work‐
ing.
If the calculator is in an error condition, the latter can be deleted using the "C"
key. "C" can also be used for deleting the display box. The <Del> shortcut that
can alternatively be used in the mode will in the text entry operating mode only
take effect if the entry focus is not on the display box. Otherwise, <Del> will only
delete one character or selected text.
Before the calculation, the expression can be modified arbitrarily and in an un‐
limited manner by means of editing using the keyboard. For the deletion, the
<backspace> and the <Del> key are available.
Working in the Hybrid Operating Mode
Layout in the Hybrid Operating Mode
In the hybrid operating mode, the calculator sometimes looks like in the clas‐
sical mode and sometimes like in the text mode. In the classical form, the
display field cannot be edited and all keys are enabled. In the text mode form,
the display field can be edited and all keys for the entry are disabled. After reset
("C" key) and the calculation ("=" key), the calculator is in an interim condition
in which all keys are enabled and the display field can be edited.
