INSTRUMENT PANEL & CONTROLS

INSTRUMENT PANEL WITH DUAL SCALE GAUGES

The speed indicator is measured in miles per hour and kilometers per hour. All temperature gauges are

measured in degrees Fahrenheit and degrees Celsius. All pressure gauges are measured in pounds per square
inch and kilopascals (kilo newtons per square meter).

1. S p e e d o m e t e r / K i l o m e t e r

gauge - indicates vehicle
speed in MPH or kilometers
per hour.

2. Check gauge warning light -

glows when low oil pressure
or high coolant temperature.

3. Left turn indicator - flashes

when turn signal is on.

4. Air brake pressure gauge - in-

dicates air pressure in front
and rear brake reservoir.

5. Right turn indicator - flashes

when turn signal is on.

6. Battery Light - low battery

charge warning.

7. Tachometer - indicates engine

RPM.

8. Ammeter - indicates battery charge and dis-

charge.

9. Headlight/Parking light on - off switch.
10. Engine hourmeter - indicates lapse time of

engine running.

11. Transmission oil temperature gauge - indi-

cates transmission oil temperature in trans-
mission sump.

12. Dash light rheostat - dims or brightens dash

lights.

13. Fuel gauge - indicates fuel supply.
14. Throttle lock - for high idle or warm-up. (TCFE only)

WARNING: Do not use throttle lock as a means of cruise control. Always release throttle lock before

putting vehicle into motion.

15. Voltmeter - indicates electrical system voltage.
16. High beam indicator - glows when headlight hi-beam is on.
17. Odometer - records miles on vehicle.
18. Oil pressure gauge - indicates engine oil pressure.
19. Parking brake valve - prevents unit from rolling when parked.
20. Water temperature gauge - indicates engine coolant temperature.
21. Ignition switch - controls ignition and starting circuits.
22. Stop light - glows when brakes are applied. (Optional)
23. Park brake light - glows when spring brakes are applied.
24. Antilock - glows steady when a fault occurs in the antilock brake system. (After bus is moving)
25. Sander refill - glows when sander reservoirs need to be refilled. (Optional)
26. Park brake (Hydraulic) - glows when spring brakes are applied.
