INDICATOR
DESCRIPTION
DCE
Data Communications Equipment. Lit when the LinkUp 5294 has been logically
configured (in Configuration Mode) to implement a DCE device.
DTE
Data Terminal Equipment. Lit when the LinkUp 5294 has been logically configured
(in Configurator Mode) to implement a DTE device.
TxD
Transmit Data. Lit when a DTE device (or configured port) is transmitting data to an
attached DCE device (or configured port).
RxD
Receive Data. Lit when a DCE device (or configured port) is transmitting data to an
attached DTE device (or configured port).
RTS
Request To Send. An RS-232C signal. Lit when a DTE device (or configured port)
is sending this signal to a DCE device (or configured port).
CTS
Clear To Send. An RS-232C signal. Lit when a DCE device (or configured port) is
sending this signal to a DTE device (or configured port).
DTR
Data Terminal Ready. An RS-232C signal. Lit when a DTE device (or configured
port) is sending this signal to a DCE device (or configured port).
DSR
Data Set Ready. An RS-232C signal. Lit when a DCE device (or configured port) is
sending this signal to a DTE device (or configured port).
CD
Carrier Detect. An RS-232C signal. Lit when a DCE device (or configured port) is
sending this signal to a DTE device (or configured port).
RI/SYN
Ring Indicate/Synchronized. A dual-function indicator: (1) An RS-232C signal. Lit
when a DCE device (or configured port) receives a ringing signal and notifies the
attached DTE device (or configured port) of this; or (2) lit during a synchronous
operation when the transmitted data is synchronized.
TxC
Transmit Clock. Lit when synchronous transmit clock signals are detected by a DCE
device (or configured port).
RxC
Receive Clock. Lit when synchronous receive clock signals are detected by a DCE
device (or configured port).
