PROTECTION
The created scale management page contains a protection option.
Select “PROTECTION” to activate an additional software protection to control access in the scale
management page. To temporarily remove the protection, use your annual password.
5.2.1.1.2 Serial Scale
The serial scale (serial weight repeater) is a scale not present on board the indicator. It allows
repeating the weight of a scale, which can be found several metres away, through the input string
configuration.
To create a serial weight repeater, click on
“ADD” and select Serial Scale:

Protocol
It allows selecting in the desired scale among those available which string the
indicator is waiting for input. It is possible to choose among the following:
EXTENDED, CB, CMA, GIBERTINI, METTLER, SARTORIUS, FULGOR,
MT8530, MTBBA462, WW-P/C100
Serial port
It allows selecting the port on which the indicator will receive the string: COM4,
COM6 etc.
When communication protocol and serial port have been defined, it is possible to set the repeater
scale:
Extended
Dialogue
It is possible to select Half-Duplex, i.e.
the scale can be managed only from the
main indicator or Full-Duplex, thus
allowing to manage, for example, the
reset of the scale also from repeater.
Type of scale
Single in case of full duplex dialogue,
sends the commands, for example for
reset, to the single scale present in the
main indicator.
Duplex-A, Duplex-B etc. : If the full-
duplex dialogue is selected and the main
indicator has more than one scale, this
parameter is essential to determine to
which of the scales the reset command,
for example, must be sent.
