Configuration (continued)
4.11 Acyclic data: Parameter overview
All parameters are listed in Tab. 6-1 in the Appendix
4.11.1 2000…2015, 65000 offset setting
Parameters
2000 to 2015 can be used to program the
offset and preset for the respective magnet
1 to 16. The
offset and preset are enabled using G1_STW (see section
Parameter 65000 originates from the PROFIdrive profile
and is identical to the Parameter 2000 in value and
function. It only affects the value of magnet 1.
4.11.2 970, 971 Loading and saving parameters
With these parameters, the local parameter settings can
be saved permanently or reset:
– Writing a 1 in parameter 970 resets all parameters to
their delivery settings.
– If a 1 is written in parameter 971, the current parameter
settings are saved permanently.
The process is completed when the parameter is set back
to 0 by the magnetostrictive linear position sensor.
4.11.3 972 Drive Reset
If a 1 is entered in this parameter, an instant reset is
performed. The BTL7-T500… is immediately restarted just
as if power had been cycled.
DANGER
Uncontrolled system movement
The magnetostrictive linear position sensor immediately
resumed its function after a reset! As a result, the system
may enter an uncontrolled state. This could result in
personal injury and equipment damage.
►
Perform a reset only if there is no risk to persons or
equipment!
►
Persons must keep away from the system’s
hazardous zones.
►
Observe the safety instructions of the equipment or
system manufacturer.
4.11.4 Parameters for automatic identification of the
BTL7-T500…
The parameters 964, 965, and 974 to 980 contain
information that primarily serves for automatic identification
of the magnetostrictive linear position sensor, e.g. upon
connection to a positioning system. This information has
no relevance for the user.
964 Drive identification
This parameter contains information on the manufacturer,
type of magnetostrictive linear position sensor, versions,
and the number of drive objects.
965 Profile identification
This string contains the ID for PROFIdrive (61) and the
version (41 for 4.1).
974 Base mode parameter access service
identification
The information in this parameter is used for controlling the
communication setting with the BTL7-T500… This
parameter has no relevance for the user.
975 Drive object identification
This parameter contains version information, manufacturer
ID, as well as information on the drive object classes, and
serves for automatic identification of the BTL7-T500-....
979 Sensor Format
This parameter is also used mainly for automatic detection
of the BTL7-T500… It represents the most important
settings of the sensor and enable interpretation of
G1_XIST1 and G1_XIST2
980, 981 Number list of defined parameter
This array is a list of the numbers of all parameters.
Different tools and devices read out this information to
determine which parameters the BTL7-T500-… supports.
2020 Nominal stroke length
This parameter is used to allow a controller to read out the
nominal stroke length in mm. The value read here is
identical to the length indicated on the part label.
