Introduction

10. FOUNDATION™ Fieldbus

10.1 Introduction

FOUNDATION™ Fieldbus (FF) is a device application for configuration of FF enabled field

devices. Online connection is achieved via the integrated H1 modem. Devices directly connected

to an H1 field segment can be configured and supported by FF.

10.2 Start up

FOUNDATION™ Fieldbus is started by selecting the FIELDBUS

button from the Dashboard.

FOUNDATION™ Fieldbus can also be selected from within the CALIBRATOR function by
selecting the Fieldbus option on the COMMUNICATOR

channel within the CUSTOM TASK

SETTINGS.
To establish the FOUNDATION™ Fieldbus online connection:
1. Connect DPI

620 Genii to a H1 FOUNDATION™ Fieldbus device.
