Potential compensation and lightning protection
ATTENTION
Voltage potential through fault current or capacitive charging
Electric shock during contact with metal parts, thereby causing
secondary damage is possible.
Preventing of personal injury by correctly executed potential
compensation.
NOTE
It is generally recommended to ground the PV generator and to inte-
grate it in the potential compensation. In the following cases, a poten-
tial compensation is absolutely necessary:
Transformerless inverter
Available lightning protection system and observed separation
distance
Creation of the potential compensation in accordance with DIN
VDE 0100 or the corresponding national regulations as a
contact protection system.
The AXIblackpremium in-roof modules are provided at the upper frame
profile with 2 bores for connection to a potential compensation. If re-
quired screws and connecting tabs can be tightened securely (see PIC
5
–
26).
