Problem
Possible Solutions
m-control is not working as expected
Make sure that all Pro64 devices have the most recent
firmware installed in them.
The 6416Y2 card must be installed in
MY expansion slot #1
on any Yamaha host device that sends its remote control
communications via the backplane connector (LS9, M7CL‑ES,
and CL Series).
When using Pro64 Network manager, check the m‑control
source—Rear Panel or Backplane—in the Card Configuration
window (found in the Tools menu of the card’s Device
Window).
Check that the network Slots to be
remote controlled are
activated. When using Pro64 Network Manager, check the
Card Configuration window, available in the 6416Y2 Device
Window’s Tools menu.
When using DIP switch control, check that the network Slots
to be remote controlled are activated. Power down, remove
the card and check DIP switches 1‑4 in block SW3 (
up
is on).
A single card cannot be the network’s
Control Master and
simultaneously provide m‑control. Set a different Pro64
device or another 6416Y2 card as the Control Master.
Check front panel
DIP switch #10; it should be down to
activate m‑control.
When using Pro64 Network Manager,
the card’s on-screen Status icon is
yellow instead of blue.
On the card that is the Control Master, check SW9, DIP switch
#9. It must be up for PC control.
Only 8 channels at 44.1/48kHz
Check SW8, switch #10. Set it to
up
for 16‑channel operation
(MY16) and
down
for 8‑channel (MY8).
