Channels from external head amps are assigned in groups of eight, 1‑8 and 9‑16. The diagram above shows a
console that has three expansion cards installed, for a total of 48 remote controllable channels.
Assigning Remote Preamp Channels to the M7CL
Individual channels on an M7CL can be patched to use any available audio resource, including the console’s rear
panel mic/line analog inputs or digital audio coming into the console via MY expansion cards.
To change the assignments, first select the overview screen of the channel group you want to change (see
below).

Press the routing and name field of the channel whose assignment you want to change; the Patch/Name popup
window will appear (shown below).

The Patch screen allows channels from the external MY card slots to be assigned to the M7CL faders.
