Log Strings
Run HyperTerminal on port 0 (this assumes use of Microsoft
Windows
®
). To do this, do the following:
Start
Stop
Open Start>Accessories>Communications>HyperTerminal
Connect BSL-336 Port 0 to service computer port COM1
Enter name for new connection (Example: "Test")
Select "Connect Using: COM1"
Click "OK"
Select "Bits per second: 4800"
Click "OK"
Cause an event on the AutroSafe system
Check that the event text is logged to the service computer
Open File>New Connection
Is a
"New Connection"
dialogue open?
Select "Bits per second: 38400"
Is VDR
baud rate
4800?
Once a connection with BSL-336 is established, the HyperTerminal
will display any data transmitted by BSL-336. To ensure that the
connection is up, reset the BSL-336 unit by pressing the reset switch
on the unit front; this will prompt the following to appear:
